Fresh Hop Island - A fresh hop Cider - New for 2024
Please enjoy my offering into the world of fresh hops. Fresh hops is the use of a hop immediately after being harvested, this was harvested in Yakima from Perrault farms, driven back to Whidbey island, and added to a hazy cider. We have both a HBC 586 and a Idaho-7 hop Cider this year. Deep hop notes, green grass, slight bitterness in the HBC, with some candy sweetness in the Idaho.
Tasting Notes: First drink in that wonderful Hop Aroma, almost like you’re about to take a drink of a big IPA, but no this is a Cider. Your first sip will bring you fresh hop HBC-586 flavors, of passion fruit, grapefruit, blueberry, Stone Fruit, Citrus, grassy, and will finish as a dry clean cider with a hint of apple sweetness.

Coffee Lover
You can’t be from Washington without having some coffee running through your blood. As a lover of coffee, I made for you an Espresso Infused Coffee using beans from Mukilteo Coffee Roasters, just down the road from our Production Space. I used the Monorail Espresso beans, and soaked them for 2 weeks prior to bottling. I used an Ale yeast , and added some Lactose sugar at the end for some Body a little sweetness and a soft milk flavor.
Tasting Notes: Take in a big drink of that coffee aroma, but this is a Cider. Notes of rich coffee, chocolate, cream, with a cider finish. This will leave you with a big full coffee taste , and great for transitioning from Coffee to Drinking.
